I have been writing after long time on Ultrasurf as my site got banned in many countries due to my 1st post on Ultrasurf which has got more than 1 million hits and 650 comments. I regularly get inquiry on alternative download source and FAQs of Ultrasurf on my email Id which I hardly reply due to time constraints. So today I thought of posting on latest release.

You must have noticed that I nearly stopped writing anything about UltraSurf, cause of it my blog has been banned in many workspaces and countries and also it is flagged as “site not safe to surf by WOT“which was really a setback for me so i thought of not writing on this topic and delete my previous posts as well but I keep on getting queries about it and need of help so that they can surf with total freedom, It’s amazing to know that people are not allowed to access sites like gmail, google news, facebook, orkut etc, So I decided to help those who don’t has access to freedom over cost of my blog to get banned forever.

UltraSurf for Ubuntu Linux and Mac

Yesterday I installed Ubuntu Linux OS, everything went smooth, it hardly takes few minutes to install Ubuntu. Later I installed Wine to run Windows apps (Wine is an Open Source implementation of the Windows API on top of X and Unix). First I tried to run UltraSurf cause without it I can’t even able to breathe coz our network pipeline is so much choked with firewalls and censorship I can’t even check my mails on Gmail.

So here is easy steps to run Ultrasurf in Ubuntu and Mac

Ultrasurf for Ubuntu Linux OS

1. Install Wine

http://www.winehq.org/

2. Download the necessary dll files
mfc42.dll
msvcp60.dll

Note: you can easily find them by Googling but when I downloaded from a site and used them it showed following error:

“The ordinal 6880 could not be located in the dynamic link library MFC42.DLL”

so my suggestions is to copy them from your windows operating system from file location ->C://windows/System

3. Copy the two dll files to
~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system
~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32

Note: if you go to file system and type ~/.wine at location bar then your hidden wine folder will get open then you can find above folders for pasting your necessary dll files.

4. Now run latest Ultrasurf and make sure settings like following screen shots.

Note: Goto options-enable Do not use IE option, set your networks proxy setting and then exit

5. Goto system-preferences-Network Proxy, Change your system proxy address to 127.0.0.1 and port to 9666

6. Now run Ultrasurf once again and enjoy the freedom

Note: while running Ultrasurf in Ubuntu it takes sometime cause it process through wine, just have little patience if it ain’t run.

Ultrasurf for Mac OSx

Just install the wine for Mac version and follow the above steps.

Good news Ultrasurf is much faster in Ubuntu than windows.

I’ve provided very neat download links for the Ultra surf 9.2 but still many users are asking for personal mails currently which seems very difficult to me cause i’m busy with my other projects – The Project life. So I thought of providing another link, hope this time it’ll work for many censored users cause this time I’m sharing files through Microsoft’s Sky Drive which recently have upgraded to 25GB. I thought that this Ultra surf craze will get over soon but with 300 million users i don’t think that it’ll get over any soon, people keep on asking for it every single minute even though i’ve provided very clean uncensored download links still people are helpless to download so i thought of a mass mail group through which i can mail all the updates in a single group mail ID regularly.

New Version of Ultrasurf 9.2

It’s been 18 months since Ultra Surf 8.9 version was launched which was true replacement for 8.3 version after that 9.0 and 9.1 versions were released but both of them got some bugs i don’t know what it is but it simply didn’t work in my case now 9.2 version is out for download and it’s really good.

whats good about it-

it is much faster than 8.9
Easily connects with server.
