3 days back I found that I’m unable to login to my Facebook account, Later I found that it was disabled, I got in shock and awe mode, totally helpless I felt like some part of me is lost coz my 3 years of life logs, tons of images all were lost, I tried to figure out how this happened cause I never got any warning mails from facebook.

So, I tried to recover it -

I sent message at http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=disabled and also an email to disa...@fb.com, Today I got following mail, but still my account is not activated athough they say that they have activated.

Your account was suspended because you sent an Inbox message that violated Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities.

After reviewing your situation, we have reactivated your account. You will now be able to log in. Unfortunately, for technical and security reasons, we are unable to provide further details regarding your warning.

Facebook Announces Privacy Redesign

Today I got following mail from Facebook for their Privacy Redesign -

Hi,
Facebook will roll out changes today that will make it easier for our users to understand and control their privacy settings. As this change will have an impact on our users, we wanted to let you, a valued advertising partner, know about it. Please note that this change will not affect your advertising campaigns and there is no action required on your part.

Facebook is a company that moves quickly, constantly innovating and launching new products to improve the user experience. The feedback we heard from users was that in our efforts to innovate, some of our privacy settings h ad become confusing.

We believe in listening to our users and taking their feedback into account whenever possible. We think the following changes address these concerns by providing users with more control over their privacy settings and making them more simple to use.

Starting today, Facebook will:

Provide an easy-to-use “master” control that enables users to set who can see the content they share through Facebook. This enables users to choose, with just one click, the overall privacy level they’re comfortable with for the content they share on Facebook. Of course, users can still use all of the granular controls we’ve always offered, if they wish.

Significantly reduce the amount of information that must be visible to everyone on Facebook. Facebook will no longer require that users’ friends and connections are visible to everyone. Only Name, Profile Picture, Networks and Gender must be publicly available. Users can opt to make all other connections private.

Make it simple to control whether other applications and websites access any user information. While a majority of our users love Facebook apps and Facebook-enhanced websites, some may prefer not to share their information outside of Facebook. Users can now opt out with just one click.

It is being said that in silicon valley everyday on an average 10 new company shows up and 9 of them die young. Web 2.0 is very vibrant in nature running on millions of dollar in VCs. The question is how many of them are actually making money apart from their pocket expenses surely none of them.

But those who are defining the web 2.0 are making big money in conferences like -

TechCrunch50 with tickets at $2,995 each.
Tim O’Reilly’s trademarked Web 2.0 conferences such as the upcoming Web 2.0 Summit at $3,795 for each ticket.

Revamping

I’ve Been busy, have abandoned this blog for long time, been writing just this and that just rambling no fix topics, got max hit on ultra surf post with 66,911 hits and 151 comments.

There are currently 29 posts and 256 comments, contained within 34 categories. just 29 posts.

Though I do have a lot of things that wanna talk about but just haven’t got the time and energy to blog. So I thought to REVAMP.

today i just fix the logo which took me 10 minutes of hands on Adobe Photoshop CS2.

Till now i haven’t put on any adsense to make money which means i’m paying everything right from my pocket but now i’m thinking that i need should put on some light ads .

I’m thinking of writing in fix topics like personal development/ tech/GTDs but then i think almost every 9/10 blogs write about tech, GTDs and all, I need to find some unique topics so i thought of discovering self.

Links or blogroll is an effective way to stay connected with your blog friends and also some how it helps to increase traffic in a very mutual way, zillion times I visited blog of a friend but never bother to notice unique blog links, today when he posted a comment “Take a look at this…” I found an interesting way of linking together.

What is it?

Its’ all about LinkedList – it’s a small JavaScript plugin for displaying a list of links to websites in the order by which they were last updated. Typically, you would use it on your blog to provide links to other blogs/websites, your blogroll in other words.

What’s the benefit?

Every time you don’t have to go to each and every link to check for the updates or latest posts you can find it by just having a look at you links

Well it’s true that you can do the same with Google reader still it gives a lil edge over plain links.
